New Online Tool Supports Parents with Childhood Vaccinations

NSW Health is encouraging the community to prepare early for the 2026 respiratory virus season, urging eligible individuals to ensure they are up to date with recommended influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.

With respiratory viruses expected to circulate widely during the cooler months, health authorities are emphasising the importance of vaccination in reducing severe illness, hospitalisation and pressure on the health system. Particular focus is being placed on older adults, young children, Aboriginal people, pregnant women and individuals with underlying medical conditions.

NSW Health has also reminded healthcare providers and aged care services to begin seasonal vaccination planning to protect vulnerable populations before winter.
