 \n\n\nDr. Mohamad (Mo) Assoum is an infectious disease epidemiologist an
 d global health strategist with expertise in spatial epidemiology and de
 terminants of infectious diseases.\n\n\n\nHe holds a PhD focused on the 
 prediction of infectious disease using geographic and environmental data
 \, alongside a background in public health program implementation and he
 alth systems strengthening.\n\n\n\nMo has led large-scale funding portfo
 lios tackling infectious diseases across Africa and Asia. His work bridg
 es cutting-edge analytics with real-world impact\, aiming to strengthen 
 disease surveillance systems\, improve health equity\, and inform policy
  for better infectious disease outcomes globally.\n\n\n\nHe is currently
  a research fellow working in clinical trials and innovative disease sur
 veillance systems.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDr Sarah Chu - Podcast 2
  Pertussisâ–¼\n\n\nDr Sarah Chu graduated from the University of Queensl
 and in 2004 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery.\n\n\n\n
 She is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine and has 
 a Certificate in Travel Health\; she enjoyed providing travel medicine s
 ervices at The Travel Doctor TMVC Brisbane before COVID-19 and is an acc
 redited Yellow Fever doctor.\n\n\n\nIn addition to being awarded a Fello
 wship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners\, she i
 s a Fellow of The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine\, Fellow of 
 The Australasian College of Tropical Medicine (Faculty of Travel Medicin
 e)\, Associate Member of the Faculty of Travel Medicine Royal College of
  Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.\n\n\n\nDr Chu also holds a Diploma 
 in Dermatology from the Australian Institute of Dermatology\, and a Dipl
 oma in Child Health from Westmead Childrenâ€™s Hospital and the Universi
 ty of Sydney. She enjoys practising yoga and is a registered level 1 yog
 a teacher with Yoga Australia.\n\n\n\nDr Chu recently completed Physicia
 n Board Certification in Lifestyle Medicine with the International Board
  of Lifestyle Medicine. She is a Senior Lecturer for the University of Q
 ueensland and enjoys teaching the next generation of doctors-in-training
