 mann is a virologist and a former Director of Immunobiology at the Thera
 peutic Goods Administration (TGA) in Australia (1997- 2015)\, responsibl
 e for vaccine testing and registration. He then worked for the WHO in Ge
 neva consulting on various projects involving influenza\, bio-containmen
 t\, pandemic planning\, regulatory frameworks\, and influenza vaccine pr
 oduction in developing countries (2015-23). Prior to working for the TGA
  he worked for: the University of Sydney in the Faculty of Veterinary Sc
 iences as Associate Professor working on public health and environmental
  issues where he also was engaged by the NSW EPA and the Auckland Region
 al council as an independent expert on a number of important landmark en
 vironmental court cases (1996-00)\; Australian Water technologies\; CDC 
 Atlanta\; and Westmead Hospital.&nbsp\; He is currently an independent c
 onsultant with Environmental Pathogens based in Canberra and a board mem
 ber of the Immunisation coalition in Australia\; his interests are in th
 e areas of Virology\, Vaccination and control of infectious diseases\, p
 andemic planning\, influenza\, regulatory issues\, environmental virolog
 y\, electron microscopy and gastrointestinal viruses. He became a Fellow
  of the Australian Society for Microbiology in 1989 and is an adjunct pr
 ofessor at the University of Sydney.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nModerator: Dr Andrew M
